MapleStory 2.0

A very brief and biased look at KMST’s newest release.

As i woke up this morning from the light beaming in gently on my face i couldn’t had been in a better mood, i fixed myself some breakfast and came back up stairs to my office i turned the TV on to watch the news answered a few emails that had accumulated on blackberry over night, and awoke my computers from there slumber. i opened up Google reader and my emails as i do every morning, after reading a humorous article about having your morning coffee I jumped on maple and the usual news outlets for the game, only to find to find an thread on southperry with the topic “Death to the Bishops” it spouted some things about magic attack formula getting changed and that ultimates would now have a cool down, as my worry for my bishops future seemed to be on thin ice i read that this would also effect all mages, this i found amusing – why, well because we are taking down arch mages with us. they want to put a 30 second cool down on my ultimate, Nexon please. after worrying about this issue for a few minutes i went onto southperry and ellinforest extractions and KMST news section to have a look at what they(Nexon K0) are doing to maple.

It seems as though it was a large patch that has changed a lot of what we know of the game at the moment. Lets start with the Victoria map musical chairs, Fiel over at southperry has made this nifty little animated picture showing the move around. Theres alot more showing now, mushroom kingdom ect.

There has also been a lot of skill changes for all the classes you can read about them here.

They have also changed a lot of the map icons, and they have changed mobs specifically the physical damage formula.

A new skill was added for Bishops, it boosts the amount of time a buff lasts, with a max level of 10 it ads 50 seconds onto buffs that are cast. i would assume it works MW 30 lasts for 900 Seconds with this it would last for 950, yet to confirm though.

They also have designed a new user interface for maplestory it looks a bit “unfinished” at the moment – the colors clash and its too glossy.
